Building Bridges in Europe – Germany and Italy in Dialogue
Germany and Italy face similar challenges that extend far beyond national borders: economic competitiveness in an increasingly fragmented global environment, the stability of the eurozone, demographic change, and the question of how Europe can strengthen its resilience and security in the long term.
Against this backdrop, the Italian Embassy in Berlin and Der Tagesspiegel are bringing together selected representatives from politics, business, and society for a high-level evening dialogue entitled “Building Bridges in Europe – Germany and Italy in Dialogue.” The aim is to deepen German-Italian exchange, connect European perspectives, and provide impetus for joint political and economic action.
The focus is on open, structured exchange on key issues for Europe's future – beyond day-to-day political debates, with a view to long-term stability, growth, and social cohesion.

About us
Der Tagesspiegel is the leading media outlet in the capital. It has the highest circulation of any newspaper in the capital region, with a market share that has been growing for over ten years. Der Tagesspiegel is one of the most frequently cited newspapers in Germany and reaches more political decision-makers in the capital than all other national subscription newspapers combined. The editorial and publishing teams are constantly being expanded in order to meet the challenges of the media market with innovation. Like Die Zeit, Handelsblatt, and Wirtschaftswoche, Der Tagesspiegel belongs to Dieter von Holtzbrinck's DvH Medien GmbH.
The event is being organized by the Tagesspiegel-Unit Politische Kommunikation.
