Die Future Medicine Innovation Days fanden am 13. und 14. November 2024 als ganztägige Konferenz im Tagesspiegel statt.
Wie können Forschungsergebnisse schneller den Weg zu den Patienten finden? Diese zentrale Frage stand im Fokus der Future Medicine Innovation Days. Zwei Tage lang kamen Fachleute aus verschiedenen Bereichen zusammen, um die Zukunft der Gesundheitsversorgung zu diskutieren.
Die Konferenz bot ein breites Themenspektrum, von Car-T-Zelltherapien bis hin zu innovativen Brust- oder Lungegkrebsbehandlungen. Expertinnen und Experten sowie Start-ups präsentierten ihre neuesten Entwicklungen. In einem Publikumsvoting wurde der überzeugendste Pitch gekürt, wobei Jaime Rosselló vom Start-up Silica Copora mit seiner Präsentation über maßgeschneiderte KI-Lösungen in der Arzneimittelforschung den ersten Platz belegte.
Zum Abschluss der Future Medicine Innovation Days stand fest: Kooperationen zwischen Politik, Wissenschaft und Industrie sind entscheidend, um innovative Therapien schnell dorthin zu bringen, wo sie gebraucht werden – zu den Patientinnen und Patienten.

About Future Medicine Innovation Days
With the "Future Medicine Innovation Days" we continue the success story of the Science Match. The innovative and exciting Future Medicine Innovation Days will take place for the first time on 13 & 14 November 2024 at Tagesspiegel. Over the course of the two days, we want to focus on science and research as well as on innovative concepts and ideas for the healthcare of tomorrow. Various innovative formats provide insights into current research priorities and recent developments.
Day 1: An Ecosystem for Research and Innovation
The focus of the first day is on identifying the optimal conditions for research and innovation in the life sciences. What opportunities and frameworks do scientists need to pursue their research most effectively? How is knowledge exchanged, and how do capital and other resources reach the places where they can have the greatest impact?
Day 2: From Research to Health: How Translation Succeeds
On the second day, we will explore how insights from research and development can be quickly and comprehensively translated into healthcare. In the spirit of past "Future Medicine" events, this day is dedicated to the theme: Turning Research into Health.
